Daiichi Fine Chemical Co. Ltd constructed New APIs(Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) factory (No.19), and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion on February 28, 2007.

The new facility is designed to manufacture APIs maximum several ten kg scale, and to perform process control study in laboratory on site. This facility is also designed under GMP control to prevent mutual contamination and to protect against dust and insect. We expect this facility meet to prepare small quantity－highly bioactive materials or investigational materials.

Particularly, one of the new reaction vessels (350L glass lined) allow us to handle a wide range of reaction temperatures from extremely low (－80℃) to high (200℃). It can be used with reactions which is required controlling delicate temperature such as asymmetric synthesis or organic metal reaction. And the factory is equipped with reaction vessels (500L glass lined, 350L glass lined, and 350L stainless steel) and three pressure filters (stainless steel).

Furthermore, there are two reaction vessels (350L stainless steel) and a pressure filter (stainless steel) in finishing room to avoid contamination by enclosing facilities.

We start manufacturing APIs in early 2007.
