Asymmetric Synthesis

Progressive technology that covers a wide range of operations from supply to custom manufacture of asymmetric ligands.

Catalytic asymmetric synthesis reaction in the homogeneous system using chiral organometallic complexes, such as asymmetric hydrogenation in particular, has made rapid progress in the last quarter century.
These useful chemical asymmetric synthesis reactions are expected to play an increasingly important role as industrial manufacturing methods in the future We have also developed our own asymmetric ligands, supplying various types of optically active compounds.

Optical Resolution

With a great stock of resolution techniques and know-how, we meet customers’ needs for high quality.

Among procedures to obtain optically active substances (chiral compounds), there is a classical method to integrate the optical resolution process in the synthetic route.
The method to produce chiral compounds by optical resolution shortens development time, and it has been applied to practical uses for pharmaceutical manufacture more than any other method.
We have a large stock of resolution techniques and know-how accumulated over many years, such as the knowledge that organic acids of natural origin, ephedrines and resolved compounds can be used as resolvents.

Multi-purpose plants for custom manufacturing

We have several plants that act as multi-item facilities for their developed products.
These facilities vary with size so that we may meet the needs at any scale of a development or industrialized project.
Our small-scale facilities range from experimental plants compliant with GMP for test drugs with 12 reactors of 100-1,000L, to pilot plants equipped with 20 reactors of 500-3,000L.
In addition, we maintain GL and SUS reactors of 3,000-10,000L for manufacturing large-scale items.
By enhancing the effect of operations, by mutual cooperation of these plants, we are pursuing the exploitation of new products of optically active compounds.
